2.4 Bushmen Blog&nbsp;By Peter Snyders © 28th May 2024G &nbsp;The BushmenThe Bushmen or San were far from being uncivilised. They had keen perception, including a sense of smell. They could gather food from nature and had the wisdom to leave a few to grow and feed them on another day. They did not see any need to farm because they were usually in small clans and their habitats did not allow their food to grow throughout the year.They shared the same unique click-type languages as the Khoikhoi because they are historically from the same group that had separated at least twenty thousand.(20,000) years before they came to South Africa. The Khoi were one group of Hunter-gatherers. Their contact with the Bantu tribes caused them to begin pastoral farming by several of them. The Bushmen / San who ventured south were able to expand with purposeful techniques, their hunter-gatherer system of obtaining natural food.They could remain a long time without food and could then devour immense quantities of meat without any ill effects. They cared less for the future and were happy if the wants of the moment were supplied.&nbsp;George Theal: History of Ethnography p.10The Bushmen piled up stone walls in the shape of the sides of a triangle, for the purpose of capturing game. There was a narrow open space at the apex. Just beyond this was a deep pit carefully covered over, into which the animals that were driven forward fell without chance of escape. The construction of these walls required much labour, but the hunters were not deficient in energy.They made pits for entrapping the elephant and the hippopotamus near rivers. &nbsp;The Bushmen who lived in the vicinity of streams containing fish used long baskets shaped like scoop nets made of reeds to capture the smaller kinds and speared the huge barbels and yellow fish with harpoons of bone.&nbsp;George Theal: History of Ethnography p.11The Khoikhoi and San have the most mtDNA haplogroup L0 in southern Africa, within their genes. Europeans and other people also have this gene inside them. Europeans who know this should cast off racism because their roots lie in these so-called ‘savages’ or ‘wild people.’ Within their time, they were not savages but enlightened folk.Despite them being very seldom more than a band of twenty, there was an absence of incest. They practised monogamy. It is not correct to believe what George Theal, in his History of Ethnography, p.19, says that the Bushmen were immoral.The convenient Sān protogroup eventually found their way into South Africa, whence they spread out of the country, and some of them eventually made their way to the Cape region. Here, there was ample food and wild game. They could therefore make drums and musical instruments and could dance and play games in their leisure time.At the Cape, they could also live off the sea. They ate seals and whales when these spilled out of the sea. Their womenfolk, besides the many root plants, could also gather mussels, crayfish, and other smaller and larger dishes. Bushmen were so-called “Bosjesmans” by the Dutch because they did not have actual homes. They slept in the open or made a home for themselves from bushes.When there was an absence of food, or they needed to procure more protein in their diets, they would hunt whatever wildlife was available. Their keen sense of perception and smell were assets to the nimbleness and agility to hunt wild animals. They were more civilised than modern humans in that they did not claim property, they treasured the absence of violence, and were merciful, cheerful, and never lacked kindness. These chaste people did not have a chief and were blessed not to have any political situation to rule over them.At the Cape, they were joined by Khoikhoi who had either been ousted by their clan or tribe, or, like the non-eldest sons, would leave to find their own way. With the Bushmen, he or she could be free to live a life without waste. Living without waste is the second of the three treasures of Taoism. Living like birds, they practiced without knowing that this was living in the Kingdom of Heaven according to Jesus, the Christ. They lived an unselfish life, like children, without intellectualism.The negativity to the white man’s blind-sided view of the San was also associated with connotations of poverty, low status, thievery, and scavenging. When one lives within the Kingdom of God, you are never poor. Yes, you keep a low status in the eyes of people who think themselves civilised while they use other low-status people to make money for their greed and ambitions. The term scavengers is totally out of place. They were gatherers, like the birds, in the Kingdom of More than Enough.The Bushmen / San were one with nature. They had insight into nature. During the Stone Age, they were the ones who drilled stones. They had other labour and skills. They made knives of stone.&nbsp;They knew that their arrows would seldom penetrate the hides of the animals they hunted, so they fire-hardened the bones of smaller animals onto their arrows. They knew that penetrating the skin of animals would not kill him, so they used natural poison to tip the arrowheads from serpents and trees.Bushmen were artists. When they found copper – and sometimes iron – they would make ornaments for the body. They used the skins of the hunted animals to make clothing for themselves. They were not thieves. They were humble like saints and knew how to survive in times of scarcity. This led to the ingenious game-catching techniques, like making traps for big animals to fall in. They gave every unnamed thing a name, and they knew them with skill.They knew where the waterholes were. During times of drought, when there was not a waterhole for several hundred kilometres away, they knew what wild fruit and vegetables they could consume to give their bodies the water they needed. They were not thievish. They wanted to avoid contacting strangers. When aggressive contact with the outsiders of their clan came about, they knew the art of war with just poisoned arrows. When the white settlers chased away their wildlife, they helped themselves to the livestock of the Boers. This led to a quarrel, which led to the genocide of the Bushmen in South Africa.Only people like Elizabeth Thomas, for example, who have stayed with Bushmen for some time, can give a correct view of them. To befriend them is quite a task. They could make themselves invisible. Once a few Bushmen were contacted, and after a while, they found the white person to be friendly; this news would cause other Bushmen to reveal themselves to the strangers.The Bushmen were shorter and of a lighter complexion than the Khoikhoi with whom they formed the Khoisan. They only wanted to be left in peace. They did not compete in issues that they could not win. They are only frightened by other people and hope to be spared their attention. They think of all strangers as dangerous people. They call all non-Bushmen ‘animals without hooves,’ because they say, non-Bushmen are angry and dangerous like lions and hyenas. And they called themselves ‘the harmless people.”&nbsp;Elizabeth Marshall Thomas 1959: The Harmless People p.24This post ends the Bushmen saga. It will be continued under Khoisan.&nbsp;

2.3 Kaaps(© 4th September 2020 by Peter Snyders).&nbsp;Let us explain why the Khoikhoi says Djã instead of Jan. So right away, albeit tentatively for now, we know why Kaapsers say dj in place of j in words such as djy (you), Djan (Jan), djêm (jam), djaloers (jealous), djamme (pity, sorry) and Djiesus (Jesus).&nbsp;This is because the j sound does not occur as an independent phoneme in Kora but is only occasionally introduced between two vowels of a diphthong to facilitate transition (liaison, separation) between them. If you look at the Kora-English Dictionary, you will not find any words containing j. Please also read it up yourself under Approximants in Sounds of Kora on page 18. We will treat j then.Here are some examples of the [j] to [ʤ] (alt + 0676) from Zulfah Otto-Sallies’s: Diekie vannie Bo-Kaap pp 1-36. This is because of some geographical or cultural reasons.We will be attaching the attachment titled Kora All Variants (and Alternative Spellings) on 28th June 2026 as our last post for June 2026. So, before we move on to n, let us look at disi (ten) on page 1. It says that the d has alternative spellings dj and tj. The tense marker j, because it is a semi-vowel, remote tense marker je (as in signifying the diminutive in Dutch) is substituted by tj as in Kaaps. (page 2)The nasal n sound rarely occurs in the end-position of a word in Kora.&nbsp;Please go through the Kora dictionary and see how many words you can find where a word ends with n. As in Kora, so too, Kaaps would either add some more letters after the end n or assimilate (make one) the two or three words. This assimilation also makes Kaaps different from Afrikaans and shows how the Kora rule refused to budge. Below are a few examples from Die Bybel translations of Genesis 1: 1-8. We will attach the names to the numbers in July 2026.<figure id="figure-kt5au0hw7smqp4msw9"><img id="kt5au0hw7smqp4msw9" src="https://cdn.durable.co/blocks/1bpjRDgKbxEkE2LCP11TS8l8IMuzctcDjXq6BvEHsgExPdxij2huM8upaJfcLApF.png" alt="" title="" class="object-cover bg-gray-100 " style="aspect-ratio: 16/9; object-position: center center;" data-corners="default" data-aspect="16:9" data-caption="" data-positionX="undefined" data-positionY="undefined" data-fullWidth="false"/></figure>When your spirit (julle’s mos spiritual scientists!) is the true speaker or writer, you will detect the wonderful things that it does. Besides the changing of the –n ending of some examples, 17 goes so far as to use an English word, while 15 not only uses an English word, but also even assimilates (joins) two words from different languages. Sixteen (16) substitutes n with t, while 6 and 16 not only do the same but assimilate (incorporate) the ie of die. 19 proves that Kaaps is a mature language by going so far as to use a completely new/different word to sidestep the problem presented to Kora and, consequently, of Kaaps.&nbsp;These tables will assist those of you who want to make a dictionary. One of the means chosen by the dictionary creator is frequency, that is, how often the spelling occurs. From the table above, we can see why the spellings of ennie (en die) and ennit (en dit) would be chosen for the dictionary.All that we have said so far are universal linguistic rules that Kora is applying to create the Pidgin-Kaaps, the first phase of the modern Kaaps spoken today.A language created without academic interference, like a Pidgin, for example, is done by the Spirit of God.Matthew 10: 19. But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.20. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.Note: We only wanted to work with the [a] in Kaaps, but we cannot use it in isolation. The rule with the only a letter is that it is short. Professor Menán du Plessis, not only dispatched of the different ways the early linguists wrote Kora, but she also turned Kora into an Independent Phonological Entity. This means that everything you see in Kora has a distinct sound. This means that all dj, a and n sounds would always be sounded in their own particular way.We have the rule that j is adapted to dj or tj as we find not only in our table but also with our diminutives. This is the way all languages work with sounds that do not belong to their lexicon, [the vocabulary of a language]. There is no th in French, so the French substitute it with z. Similarly, several languages, including German and African languages, substitute de in place of th. The phoneme [sound] j is a consonant in Dutch, but it is a semi-vowel in Kora; it is not even recognised as a vowel.The Dutch rarely pronounce the end r just like the Koranners [Kora speakers] do. So, they will tolerate each other, but when the slaves use the end r, Kora may discard their rule because the Pidgin does not include complications. This is also why there are no clicks, aspirations [audible breath that accompanies or comprises a speech sound], tonalities [the organization of all the tones and harmonies], egressives and nasals consonants in Pidgin-Kaaps. This made Pidgin Kaaps so simple, that everyone, including the Dutch and slaves, could understand the language quickly and so Kaaps became the lingua franca of the Cape Colony.Write down these rules yourself because that way you show that you understand them.

On page 19, she writes: “ We crossed this desert three times, my family and I, on three expeditions, which usually numbered between ten and fourteen people and included my father, my mother, my brother, and myself, as well as several other Europeans who were linguists, zoologists, botanists, or archaeologists, sent by the universities of the Union of South Africa, England, or the United States, as well as four or five Bantu men – several interpreters, a cook, and a mechanic – who were the staff.”These are the true experiencers of the truth firsthand by scientists and people who are devoted to their profession. They do not just sit in their studies and get all their information from books, which may be biased, prejudiced, and discriminatory. The white linguist, Labov, also writes that the truth about the black language must come from their own linguists. We are not academics who write without proof.“We have visited four of the Bushman language groups, two of which we stayed with for long periods of time. In 1951, after a survey expedition to learn where Bushmen could be found, we went into the Nyae Nyae area of South-West Africa, close to the border of Bechuanaland, to look for Kung Bushmen. We found a band living near a waterhole, as it was June, the drought of the year, and we stayed with them for four months.&nbsp;“At first, only a few Bushmen were there. But as the news spread that we were friendly, more people came to visit us and receive presents of tobacco and salt, for Bushmen love to smoke but rarely have tobacco, which they get in trade. Also, most of the Bushmen had never seen a European before, none had ever seen a European woman, and they came by dozens to sit together in a cluster at a distance to observe my mother and me. By the end of our stay, we had become friendly with them, and in 1952, we visited them again.&nbsp;“We found them waiting confidently for us, living beside the track our trucks had made, as we had told them that we would come back if we were able, and this time we stayed with them for a year. In August 1955, we returned to them again, but before we did so, we spent four months in Bechuanaland. We lived one month with a group of Naron and Kõ Bushmen at a place called Okwa (the two groups were mixed because their territories happened to meet at that place), and almost two months with Gikwe Bushmen in the four-hundred-mile stretch of empty desert between Ghanzi, near the border of South-West Africa, and Molepolole, near the border of the Transvaal.”&nbsp;Elizabeth Marshall Thomas 1959: The Harmless People p.24.Let us bring in some spirituality, the highest form of Truth. The back cover begins with a very short extract from a review of the book by The New York Times: ‘... the study of a ...people which, for beauty of both style and concept, would be hard to match ...”&nbsp;The beautiful style of Marshall is simple, unpretentious, and easy for anyone who can read to relate to. She also has a beautiful concept of the Bushmen, telling everything as it is, which gives the reader access to people living in the Kingdom of Heaven rather than in the hell of savage brutes, in which the ignorant West typifies them.It is, however, the word beauty that conjures up one of the four trinities Jesus speaks about in the Gospel of the Holy Twelve and The Gospel of the Nazarenes (both freely downloadable).&nbsp;The word trinity is made of tri, meaning three, and unity, one, and therefore trinity means that the parts (three) are closely interrelated to each other. The second Trinity, Jesus says, is made up of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. What does this mean? It means that when you tell the whole Truth and nothing but the Truth, it would always be beautiful and filled with goodness. In a trinity, if you mention one, the other two would automatically be linked to it. Here, beauty is used to describe this wonderful book, which calls up the other two parts of the trinity.Okay, so let us conclude with what the Bushmen call themselves:“So, the distinction between people was caused by the great god, and the Bushmen, who want only to be left in peace, do not compete in issues which they cannot win. They are only frightened by other people and hope to be spared their attention. Kung Bushmen call all strangers zhu dole, which means ‘stranger’ but, literally, ‘dangerous person’; they call all non-Bushmen zo si, which means ‘animals without hooves,’ because, they say, non-Bushmen are angry and dangerous like lions and hyenas.”&nbsp;“But Kung Bushmen call themselves zhu twa si, the harmless people. 2.3 HackedBy Peter Snyders (22.5.2026) GSometimes, after you have upgraded your Personal Computer (PC), you may still have the older computer that stores your Google information, which the hacker has, then put the hacker's file on this computer.They use the fake information you gave them to enter your computer without Google knowing. Do you now see why Google should allow its clients to be able to contact a Fraud or Hacking Hotline?If you want to do this yourself, send the site of the hackers to newspapers, banks, life, financial, and funeral companies, pensions, and everyone you can think of. Give your name so that you can receive the Global Award after the hackers have been brought to justice and innocent slaves freed.&nbsp;I just got hacked again. This time, they got into my computer without making that active circle I had told you about. I was taking all the files I had under a far-off title. When I was ready, I cut and pasted them to a file I misspelt called Trnsfr. There were four folders in this folder that I transferred to my Flash Drive at the beginning of the month.&nbsp;I found that they were trying to find out if the file was good enough to hack. Cakewalk was upgraded to a high degree, and many musicians could not get a MIDI synth. So, I saw that he had left the song, Strandfontein toe on Cakewalk. I think that the hacking slaves were punished for daring to hack songs that are still being worked on.I now have most of my music on a 16-terabyte external drive. I also have all my insurance, like Old Mutual, on a flash drive. There is still a lot of space left. So, if you do not have as many files and folders as I do, then get yourself a 64 GB or 128 GB flash drive.Be careful when writing titles for your files and folders. I had a retirement annuity with Old Mutual Wealth. Even though they cannot get to the money of the RA, the word ‘wealth’ attracted the hacker. Again, he left most of my files because I think their boss doesn’t like wasting time. So, change that word wealth. I found that they had hacked only a few.Anything that attracts them to money or hobbies that produce money is systematically hacked. You have the advantage of not being hacked if you have no files and folders that could attract them. They never copy any file or folder; they just cut. Perhaps, before the boss inspects the work of the slaved hackers, he could quickly look at them, and seeing it is a Pension or Retirement Annuity, he would destroy those files.Very important is that you also transfer all your passwords and things like usernames to your external flash or hard drive. Do not wait to get hacked and then only try to do so immediately. If you look at all the catastrophes and wars in the world, if you have spiritual insight, you will see that the end of this cycle is near. The way to see this is by how many bad people are entering the world. &nbsp;Hacking is done by many people in many countries. If you are already hacked, do not switch on your computer until you have a flash or higher external hard drive.I understand that banks are very aware of hackers, whether by cell phone or computer. They are insured, so if you are hacked, you know all the signs, go to your bank immediately, and you should get your hacked money returned to you.It is unlikely that the hackers are from South Africa. If there are, then they are hacking the rest of the world. So, to know what time they are sleeping, write down the time after you have shut down your computer. As hard as this seems to be, it may give you an idea of when it is safe to use your computer.Returning to the words that attract them, also do not use word titles with the words ‘bank, music, harmony,’ or anything that will attract them. If you cannot afford a flash drive right away, hide your vulnerable files in a file or folder. I do not want to give actual examples just in case a hacker reads this post.The hackers even hack big companies like Cakewalk or your DAW maker. When this or anything that has the same effect occurs, you will know that you have been hacked. You will be asked to change your password, and or your username, every time you log into that company. Some of them may even ask you to give an older password. So, keep a record of all your past passwords. This is a good way of identifying that they have the correct person.You remember how I said that you should listen to your intuition. Well, my Spiritual Master told me to remove all my music to a big external hard drive some time before I got hacked. There was no reason to do so, but I listened to my Inner Master. So, when I got hacked, they could only find the few pieces I was working on. I showed them proof that the two songs were registered at the South African Music Rights Organization (SAMRO). So, if you are a composer or lyric writer, register your songs. If you are part of a band, what you create is part of an arrangement. Contact the relevant organizations.

2.3 Hacked

<h2>2.2 Kaaps</h2>(© 4th September 2020 by Peter Snyders)&nbsp;Both Buddhism and Western Science rely solely on Perception and Inference, two of the six means of obtaining true knowledge (facts or truth). We do not have to use a lot of hair-splitting. We go directly to the inquiry.Using Perception of the present, how would an Afrikaner with no knowledge of isiXhosa communicate if the Xhosa person has also never heard of Afrikaans? By using this present-day situation, we can apply the particular to the universal if the approach of our characters is the same worldwide. Having said this, we can expect that Jan van Riebeeck would be the one to approach the Khoikhoi pastoral farmer because he was in need.&nbsp;Note that, for the sake of simplicity and to avoid ornamentation, we use a closed system in which we assume there was no prior contact. All this may have happened before Van Riebeeck’s arrival, but they would have had to take the same course. Our present-day perception (as per our example/analogy) supports our reasoning.Since Jan would customarily be the first one to speak, he would most likely greet and say: “Goede morgen” (Good morning), “Goede middag” (Good afternoon), or less likely (unless the meeting happened after the flock had returned home from grazing), “Goeden avond.” (Good evening.) These Dutch words are not pronounced the way they are written or how the Dutch speak them. Some of the sounds do not resonate with the collection of Kora sounds, so they must be ignored or adapted by the Koraners (Kora-speaking natives). The innovative word would then go into the new language (Pidgin Kaaps), which is about to be formed.The Khoikhoi livestock farmer would not understand the Hollander, but he would guess that the visitor was greeting him, especially if the stranger also made a greeting gesture. Whereupon the Khoikhoi would reply: ǃãi ǁoab (Good morning), ǃãi ǃ’uri (Good afternoon), or ǃãi ǃ’uib (Good evening). From the examples given above, can you write down the word for “good” in Dutch and Kora?These two languages have no rational ground for communication. We will discover more estrangement when we look at the phonetics (the system of speech sounds of a language or group of languages) of the expressions. Kora is a complex language, ǃ, |, ǁ, and ǂ being clicks, ã is nasalised, and ’ indicates that the sound is ejected by some force.Next Van Riebeeck, intuitively knowing that he too was greeted, especially if the Khoikhoi person made the same gesture, would probably ask, “Spreek je Hollands?” or more formally “Spreekt u Hollands?”&nbsp;When the Indigenous man is still confused, Van Riebeeck may try, “Ik heet Jan” (My name is Jan.) or “Ik ben Jan.” (I am Jan.)&nbsp;Of the three vowels in the latter, two (ê and a) correspond to two of the five vowels in the Kora sound list (inventory). The uh sound of ik (I) is not in Kora. This latter sound is called a schwa. The Khoikhoi would probably adapt the schwa to ê whenever they had to use it, and express ik as ek. As we go deeper into Kora and Pidgin Kaaps, we will be able to account for many Dutch words that had been modified by the Kora speaker and so become part of Pidgin-Kaaps.&nbsp;The Indigene would not utter the Dutch words because, as with any child, the meaning of these sounds evades the Khoi man. Then Van Riebeeck may use the point system of a child who is beginning to talk. He would point to himself and say, “Jan.”&nbsp;This is the way a child learns words. She points at something concrete (a noun), and the family member gives the name. This is also the way that all pidgins (trading languages) begin.&nbsp;Eventually, the Khoikhoi will understand the sounds he did not understand at first, but if any sound is foreign to him, he would use a sound from his own collection of sounds. To give an example, in Kora, there is no uh or e(r), (schwa), as in words like this, the, learn, family, member.&nbsp;In our older language versions of Kaaps, e.g., Bokaap-Kaaps and Rehoboth Baster- Kaaps, we find a very ingenious substitution in the word gesig (face); it is pronounced gaseg. (Notice that the choice of an alternative sound from the language that makes the adaptations is not always predictable. Here, two vowels from the same inventory (collection of sounds) from Kora are used to replace the two schwas.At last, the Khoikhoi man understands, but when he repeats Van Riebeeck’s name, it isn’t quite the same. It is more likely to be Djã. Why can’t the Khoikhoi say Jan with a j like the y as in you? And why omit the n or why not substitute another phoneme (sound of a letter)? This is because the rules of the two languages differ. Every language has its own rules, and it is these rules of Kora that have survived in Kaaps.&nbsp;

<h2>2.2 Hacked</h2>By Peter Snyders (22.5.2026) G Number 5Uncooperative GoogleSince Google or Gmail is the likeliest source of hacking and thereafter spreading like wildfire to all contacts, one would expect Google to have a Fraud or similar line, or a direct email to contact them, but no, they act like they are partners of the hackers.&nbsp;Can you imagine if Google could publish what we are giving here to every Gmail user? It would wipe out the hackers. Or better still, since Google is so smart, they could trace the hackers and have them imprisoned.Number 6Cell phone hackingWe once got a message from SARS saying that they owe us R68 845,32. Hackers know that people fall for fast money. We knew that SARS did not owe us any money, so we answered the WhatsApp telling SARS this.
