2.1 Kaaps
(© 4th September 2020 by Peter Snyders)We will be using some of the six means of gaining correct knowledge called pramanas in Sanskrit. The first pramana is Perception, and one aspect of Perception is that it can only be applied to the present. This is obvious because our senses cannot see, hear, smell, etc., in the past or the future. We, therefore, look at what is in front of us as Jesus says in the Gospel of Thomas: “Know what is in your sight and that which is hidden will be revealed unto you.” Once we can see what is there for us to perceive, we can then rise above our direct perceptions and go beyond our limits (transcend). We do not know exactly what transpired when Jan van Riebeeck met with Autshumao (whom he called Harry/Herrie), who was the Khoisan head of trade for the needs of ships in the Table Bay area. Autshumao was sent to Bantam, an English post in the far east, to learn English. It is often mentioned in the Van Riebeeck Journals that Autshumao spoke “broken English.” The Dutch could understand English, so Jan van Riebeeck could, for the most part, understand Autshumao when he and a friend went aboard Van Riebeeck’s ship on the 7th April 1652. The Dutch were at war with England, and the Heren Seventien. The directors of the Dutch East India Company had given instructions that their employees were not to yield to the Indigenous language. So, Van Riebeeck and his colleagues would have tried to include as many Dutch words as possible in the conversation. We are going to scour the Journals of Jan van Riebeeck for first-hand knowledge of what happened in those early settler days. So, this, and the fact that he had set foot at the Cape before, for only eighteen (18) days, means that he, too, knew nothing about Kora (the Cape Khoikhoi language). Please allow us to point out some important procedures that we are employing. We are not trying to impress academics, so we will not be splitting any hairs. We aim to communicate with the ordinary humans on the ground, in a direct and as simple a way as possible. So, we will try our best to limit the technical (linguistic). A technical term, however, reduces the whole explanation to a single word. The term “phonology,” which we will come across often, means, according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the science of speech sounds, including esp. the history and theory of sound changes in a language or in two or more related languages: the phonetics and phonemics of a language at a particular time. Phonetics and phonemics are also strange to the masses that do not venture into high-brow stuff. So, let us see what Merriam-Webster has to say about them. Phonetics is ‘the system of speech sounds of a language or group of languages: the study and systematic classification of the sounds made in spoken utterance. The practical application of this science to language study and phonemics is (we are simplifying) the specific sound in a language, irrespective of how it is written. For example, the vowels in English words such as us, some, country, and what are all the same as the vowels in Kaaps words such as gat, lam, and kas. To use the technical term would save much time. So, when we use a linguistic term, we will give as short a meaning as possible – often just another word we are more acquainted with – in brackets. Also, we know that the Khoikhoi at the Cape had met the crews of many European nations and that a Pidgin consisting of only a few words with respect to bartering was used with Portuguese, English, and Dutch. Our main concern is the origin of the language, Kaaps, which no one can argue was influenced to a great extent by Dutch.Again, we know of the ship with 250 men that wrecked at Mouille Point. They stayed for four months without incident. The Khoikhoi must have picked up some Dutch words from them. Two years later, the Haarlem wrecked somewhere near Milnerton, and that crew stayed at the Cape for an entire year until they were picked up in 1647 and returned to their fatherland. Again, we are not going to bore you with all the academic details. We are probably using the best system to acquire true knowledge. So, we are using comparison to establish a representative picture of the situation. Using the facts of perception as they universally apply, we infer other facts. (By inference, the knowledge is acquired by beginning with a proven fact and deducing in a scientific-like way a second proven fact. Inference is like the way of mathematics. You cannot make a statement without saying which proof you have used. If you have not already downloaded, free of charge, Kora, please use the URL given below.https://sahistory.org.za/archive/kora-lost-khoisan-language-early-cape-and-gariep-menan-du-plessis

2.1 BushmenBy Peter Snyders © 7Th March 2024The BushmenThere are several connotations given to the Words San and Bushmen. Alan Barnard of his Anthropology and the Bushmen writes: “The word ‘Bushman’ is certainly not without its problems. Indeed, the same can be said for the currently more politically correct term ‘San’, which historically and in the Khoekhoe dialects in which it is found has carried connotations of poverty, low status, thievery and scavenging, as well as purposeful food-gathering (that being perhaps its most literal translation).” Alan Barnard: Anthropology and the Bushmen 2007 on p.x.Alan Barnard survives our pramana test of personal perception because he has spent some time among some Bushmen (we write the term with the capital letter it deserves). As usual, we start at the foundation. This will be covered in more detail under the section on the Evolution of Humans, but we will use only a small amount of it to create our basis here.Remember that we only point out the direction to you. Those of you who want a firmly founded identity will go out and build your house upon a rock (Matthew 7:24-25). So, Google “Khoisan” and download what interests you, but be sure to download the article from Wiki under the same name. What I so much like about Wiki is that all the very high-quality writings are authorless, in other words, completely selfless, one of the main ingredients to get into the Kingdom of Heaven.Wiki: Khoisan: “Khoisan, or Khoe-Sān, is a catch-all term for those indigenous peoples of Southern Africa who do not speak one of the Bantu languages, combining the Khoekhoen (formerly "Hottentots") and the Sān peoples (formerly "Bushmen"). Khoisan populations speak click languages and are considered to be the historical (pre-Bantu) communities in the South African Cape region, through to Namibia, where Khoekhoe populations of Nama and Damara people are prevalent groups, and Botswana.”We are going to change this mention of the early group of people to Khoi (men or people) more correctly, Khoe. This is because they were all hunter-gatherers. In Kora’s Kora to English dictionary, the word khoe, is pronounced khowe or [khowε]. The suffixes b, s, and i determine gender, where khoeb is male, khoes is female, and khoei is neutral. (In German, a neutral person is under the age of eighteen.)We are so fortunate today that science has discovered that the mtDNA haplogroup L0 is found in the southern African ancestral Khoisan, and that everyone, irrespective of race, has this gene within them. The Khoe, later Khoi-khoi (men of men) and Saan, or Bushmen, were one group, some 260,000 to 350,000 years ago. The MIS 5 mega drought struck this central, southern African group 130,000 years ago, and the ancestral population was obliged to find survival means elsewhere. (Still from Wiki, but simplified) It is at this time that the Khoe split came with part of the Khoe (later to become Bushmen or San) moving southwards, where they expanded their purposeful techniques of gathering natural food. It is wrong for whites to typify the existence of the Khoekhoe and Bushmen (San) as primitive and savage, as they often had what the Europeans did not have, even at this time. Despite occasional droughts, they always had food, unlike the poor today. The Khoe (the splitting of the diphthong is where Khoi was created by Europeans) trekked northwards. Here, they were not welcomed by the bearers of the haplogroup L1-6 in central and eastern African regions. Wiki also has a reference 13: [Crowe, Tim (4 February 2016)]. “How the origin of the KhoiSan tells us that ‘race’ has no place in human history.” The Wiki writer goes on to add that this Khoe group went on to populate Europe and Asia by stating: “this group carried DNA from Eurasian as well as some Neandertal groups.” (If you search this Wiki article, all you have to do is just click on the blue wording, and you will be taken right away to the reference.)The convenient part of the Khoe protogroup eventually found their way into South Africa, whence they spread out over the country, and eventually some of them made their way to the Cape region. When a group is separated from its source, its culture and language change. The next generation, forgetting their source, gave themselves a name. We do not know exactly what name the Cape Khoi gave themselves, but everywhere they preferred the European name "Bushmen" (people living in bushes) to the term "San," which they considered derogatory. The Kalahari Kung Bushmen called themselves zhu twa si, the harmless people. Twa means “just" or "only" in the sense that you say: "It was just the wind” or “It is only me.”Elizabeth Marshall Thomas 1959: The Harmless People p.34

2 Email TabsBelow are the spontaneous tabs I added to the lists of emails I sent out. I thought the visitors would like to know what I sent to others.EnjoyPeter Snyders Hi Guys (With first post)5.5.2026I decided to handle the blog myself despite the mountain of work that I have. The site is kaapsculture.org.I explain on the site what I will be posting during the first month. What I would like to put to you is if you would consider taking this project further. I will be 87 years of age on 14.11.2026. I am handling Pidgin-Kaaps only. It is a huge project. I may not be around to handle the next phase, Creole-Kaaps. For this, you will need to collect contributions made by slaves. Find out from which countries the slaves came, then get hold of the languages they spoke. The rest is like I have used Kora, the language spoken by the Khoikhoi and Khoisan at the Cape during the times of the colonisers.More pressing is that after I have used Kora to show the rules of Pidgin-Kaaps, we are going to have to publish a Wordlist and Spelling Rules of Pidgin-Kaaps. For this, we will need your Kaaps input and your help in deciding which spelling must be used according to the strictest rules. I suggest you copy or write down all the rules as I show them. What we are using is unique because no linguist has used our way of proving why the speakers of a Pidgin speak the way they do.Anyway, I have already used some of your time.Kindest regardsPeter Snyders With the second postThis blog will always use facts. We will present the truth as we have realised it. Feel free to question our truth by posting your own perspective in the Contact section of the Kaapsculture.org website. This blog is enormous, so we will not be able to answer your questions. We leave it up to others with concern to answer your questions. We will, in our search for truth, only ask questions from texts before us, as in Religion posts, among other examples. You must find the truth yourselves. At some future post, you may come across a truthful answer to your question.Go to kaapsculture.org twice a week. You would find interesting material there.Kindest regardsPeter With the Third PostHi, guys and gals10.5.2026Please download the Kora URL. I think it is in Metalanguage of the kaapsculture.org website.Kaaps began as a pidgin using the rules of Kora, but the sounds and meanings of unstandardised Hollands most of the time. Where a Dutch sound is the same as Kora’s, it is retained. When it is different, the spirit of the pidgin will find a suitable substitute in Kora. The newborn pidgin is neither Kora nor Dutch, even though it is composed of the attributes of both. A pidgin is like a child born of a mother and father. The child has both the genes of her parents, but she is a unique and different person.Think about Afrikaans in this way. If there is honesty, there will be such a favourable history to tell.Kindest regards to all of youPeter SnydersFourth PostHi All, 12.5.2026Today, I would like to speak a bit about Spiritual Languages. In Zen, they have only one Precept: Spontaneity. To be spontaneous means to speak freely, not from a book, a text, or anything prepared. The content just flows out.In the New Testament, Jesus sends out his disciples to speak to the common people. No books, texts, speeches, or instructions on what to say. So, desperately they asked Him, "What are we going to tell them?"Jesus then answers them as in Matthew 16:19 - 20, "16. Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. 17. But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; 18. And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. 19. But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. 20. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you."We will have more to say about spiritual language soon.Stay blessed Fifth PostHi Guys.17.5.2026Our blog address is kaapsculture.org.Two short pieces: 1. The pictures that we use are symbolic or have a connection with the post. 2. Listen attentively to the language used in Kelders van geheime and Paradys.Kindest regardsPeter Snyders

2.1 HackedBy Peter Snyders (21.5.2026) GHave you been hacked? If so, add your experience to our site. If you have not been hacked yet, read this post to learn about it. This way, you can avoid being hacked yourself.Tip Number 1.Listen to your inner voice. If you do and remain obedient, you will discover that your Inner Master knows when you get hacked. If you are a spiritual practitioner, you may be hacked so that you can warn others of your experiences. Your Supreme Master, or a member of his/her team, will advise you. If you are, for example, a composer or have your money openly on your computer, you will be advised to put all your Music, MP3 songs, bank, and insurance data on an external hard drive. Get yourself an external drive and use it as your main PC drive. You can get your external drive from Makro online. So, when you get hacked, the few songs you were working on would be on a flash drive when you get hacked. Also, do not forget to register your songs at the South African Music Rights Organization (SAMRO). The prime hacking they do is for money, music, and anything that can bring in money for them. Use complicated random passwords that have nothing to do with you, your family, or your pets. If you have a lot of other things on your computer, you can put your precious things under a disguised name for the files and folders. Remember to do this only if you have a two or more-gigabyte external hard drive. Remember that given the opportunity, they will open every file and folder. If they have no luck with the first batch of folders they opened, they will skip file and folder names that they are not interested in.Tip Number 2Identify their systemThe first sign to look out for is that you cannot close the window. The window is usually a Google. It has all the new AI features and looks very convincing. Since you cannot close the window, SWITCH OFF YOUR COMPUTER!If you don’t switch off your computer, you will be asked to change your email address. They will have many different options for you, but you can use them or create your own email address. Google will NEVER ask you to change your email! If you have not shut down your computer yet, DO IT NOW! Press the big round button on your computer. So, next, they will state that you should choose a password. When you choose your last Google password, they will inform you that you changed that password four months ago. This should be a red flag because you know that you did not change your password four months ago. This is your last chance. SWITCH OFF YOUR COMPUTER! If you give them a new password, their deception worked on you. This far, it is too late to turn off your computer, but do so, so that they cannot enter your data right away.If you do not switch off your computer, the scanner will know that you are easily deceived. He will then request a recognition picture and will present you with a typical biometric scan diagram. Please don’t give him this. This is your last chance to SWITCH OFF YOUR COMPUTER! Tip Number 3Only have your computer on when you work with it.They cannot get to your material when your computer is off. So, never leave your computer on when you are not going to be working on it. Even if you are just going to the toilet for 10 to 15 minutes, switch off your computer. If you are doing a big search and it is not finished by the time you want to leave, either collect the partial data or switch off your computer and try again during your next computer session. Things will be different, of course, when you are working on your company’s computer. Number 4Try putting your computer to sleepFor this, and all uses for your computer, you must have a password. Do not use the names, dates of your family and yourself, or anything else applying to you or the family. Whether you use numbers or characters, let them always be random. Use a completed Sudoku. If you do not do Sudokus, go to Google and download a page of Sudoku solutions (up to 12 x 81per page). There are nine rows, each containing nine numbers per line. You want to mix capitals as E, R, T; lower case as y, u, and p; numbers such as 2, 5, and 9, and characters like @ # { “ : and <. You will need nine of them. If you are going to use a numbers password, use a row of numbers from you sudoku solutions. If you put your computer to sleep, it is quicker to wake it up with only your password. The computer goes off – all but the blue light. It is also easy to switch on. But your PC does not always ask you for your password. Use this option only when you are going to be away for less than five minutes.

Pramanas By Peter Snyders (2.4.2026)We come across many lies in the written documents. In them, the writers deride people from non-white countries. In their books, they treat the indigenous peoples with contempt and usually laugh at them as being backward, primitive, savages, and brutes, among other insulting, limited extents of their vision. Many people believe what is written in a book because they are too lazy to check whether what they are reading is true. Religious devotees follow blindly what is in their Holy Book. They may not know that the same Holy Book says in: English Standard Version but test everything / (all things); hold fast (onto) what is good. King James Bible: Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. New King James Version: Test all things; hold fast what is good. New American Standard Bible: but examine everything [carefully]; hold firmly / (fast) to that which is good, Amplified Bible: But test all things carefully [so you can recognize what is good]. Hold firmly to that which is good. Aramaic Bible in Plain English: Explore everything and hold what is excellent. Contemporary English Version: Put everything to the test. Accept what is good Cross References:Galatians 6:10. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to the family of faith 1 Corinthians 14:29. Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said. Romans 12:9. Love must be sincere. Detest what is evil; cling to what is good. 1 Thessalonians 5:15. Make sure that no one repays evil for evil. Always pursue what is good for one another and for all people. 1 Thessalonians 5:22. Abstain from every form of evil. 1 John 4:1. Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world. Matthew 7:15-20. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves… Source: The Lord Buddha says the same, but also that only after testing things do we know ourselves.: Know Yourselves.Do not accept anything on mere hearsay, simply because it has been said for centuries or believed in through long traditions.Do not accept anything just because it is thought to be part of sacred teachingsSupposition [inference from defective or presumptive evidence: a conclusion deduced by surmise or guesswork] is a poor basis for beliefs.Taking things at face value can be misleading.Never leap to conclusions. To believe something simply because it sounds pleasant or easy is foolish.Be careful not to be overly swayed by a friend [one attached to another by affection or esteem: acquaintance: one that is not hostile: one that is of the same nation, party, or group. But when you know yourselves – (and) these things are immoral, blameworthy, censured [condemned sternly] by the wise, (and) these things when performed and undertaken are conducive to ruin and sorrow – then indeed you should reject them. When you know yourselves – (and) these things are moral, blameless, praised by the wise, (and) these things when performed and undertaken are conducive to well-being and happiness – then do these things and act accordingly.Lord BuddhaThe question is: How will we know that something is untrue or a rumour or any of the host of deceptive methods? For example, when we read the writings of European callers at the Cape before Jan van Riebeeck, they say such things as: the Khoisan (Khoikhoi and Bushmen) are lazy, uncivilised, and have no religion. Antonio de Saldanha, 1503, and others say the Khoisan are treacherous and untrustworthy; Thomas Stevens, 1579, and others say they are savages, and Sir James Lancaster, 1591, and others call them brutes. But are all these despisings true?Science can prove many things, but only if they can be measured. What about things like affection, doubt, aspirations, happiness, harm – not to speak of love, hate, wisdom, and humility? These things cannot be measured. The difference is that science and worldly knowledge have to do with physical or tangible matter. That which is not related to material existence we call spiritual. And since we prove things that science cannot prove, we call our manner of knowing ‘spiritual science’. Spiritual Science makes use of one or more of the six pramanas. (Please search this word on the internet.) Pramana means “proof” and “means of acquiring true knowledge.” Physical science makes use of two: Perception and Inference, the same as Buddhism.Since this science is spiritual, religious philosophies like Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism all make use of this Epistemology (the study of knowledge). If you Google search “pramana” and copy the Wiki version, they give the sixteen schools that use this system. In Sanskrit, prama is a root which, besides which we have already mentioned, also means ‘basis’ and ‘foundation’. This is where we begin our study of everything: at the root, the base; we establish a sound foundation (called a rock in the Bible). The first pramana is perception. Perception means to become aware of things through the six senses: sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, and mind. It means to get an understanding of something. Supreme Master Ching Hai says, “Knowledge without understanding is not knowledge.” Knowledge without certainty is book knowledge, hearsay, propaganda, dogma, blind belief, and all the deceptions we will someday show you in The Theory of Error. So, to keep it simple, we will ask the person making any claims: Were you physically there? If so, for how long were you with your source? Did you actually see for yourself what you are saying? The same with hearing. Or is what you are saying just a fantasy you are creating in your biased mind? So, when we discuss the Bushmen/San in one of our portals, we will be using only reliable sources, like Elizabeth Marshall Thomas, who wrote The Harmless People. She came to the Bushmen with a team of scientists three times, and once they stayed for a whole year.

1.3 Kaaps Copyright © 26.12.2024 by Peter Snyders GSuppose you speak Kaaps – or whatever language you speak - and you meet up with someone who speaks isiXhosa. How are you going to communicate if you do not know anything about isiXhosa and the Xhosa have also never heard Kaaps? (This is what happened when the Dutch and the Khoikhoi first met.) Use your experience.Stay blessed and never forget that you are the source of your abundance.Pointers: The words underlined are worth Googling. Add to this list Science and Spirituality; Science and Non-duality; Suprememastertv.com;If you can pick up CTV (Cape Town TV), tune in for the Science and Non-duality (SAND) talk on Sundays. You are going to need the best book on Kora (the name of the Khoikhoi language during the early Cape). Download this book at https://sahistory.org.za/archive/kora-lost-khoisan-language-early-cape-and-gariep-menan-du-plessis.Read the first five pages of Chapter Three (3). On the second page (of Chapter 3), you will find something which most – if not all – linguists miss. This will be the root of our task about communication. Every contribution you make will enhance the root. Remember, there is nothing wrong with spontaneous music! It will also give us the first rules of why we speak the way we do. For those of you who do not have enough data to download the whole book, Kora, we will attach Chapter 3 a few days after this post. Also, look at the Kora words used as examples of the vowels. Or look at the dictionaries. It is out of this communication that a pidgin language (also called a trading language) is born. This is where Kaaps has its origin. For the Spiritual System we are using, you can search: The Six Indian Philosophies. After mentally scanning this download, search for Nyaya (School of Philosophy). To get an idea of the scientific method you are using, casually read up on Perception and get a rough idea of Inference, in Nyaya, for now. The Masters of spiritual practice always said that their teaching is Spiritual Science. Now that our science has recognised and embraced this, and Western scientists even now say that Buddha Gautama is the greatest scientist, we, too, are convinced that the Spiritual Masters are the greatest authorities on truth. Please expect such references to become a regular practice. This closes our Introduction to Kaaps. Next, we will look at how the Dutch and Kora parents produced the child, Pidgin-Kaaps. The Khoisan did not start speaking Pidgin-Kaaps with Jan van Riebeeck. We create the situation with Van Riebeeck because we have access to this. There were Dutch stranded at Mouille Point for four months. The Khoisan in the area would have assisted them. There were many meetings with Dutch, English, with Portuguese, French, and Danish to a lesser degree. We will handle Before Van Riebeeck when the current attachments end. Janssen, Proot, and their team were stranded for a year at Milnerton. The Khoisan assisted them in several ways and learned some of the Dutch language (Hollands), which they adapted and entered into their pidgin. We are using the scientific system, where we leave out everything not needed. This way, we can know what happened during those other meetings of the Khoisan with the Dutch. In this way, all pidgins have their beginning.
